background: and purpose: back injury in nurses is one of the most common healthcare problems. the chronic low back pain leads to several problems including varying degrees of disability, impact on activities of daily life, physical and emotional problems, and serious impact on the quality of life. the purpose of this study was to assess the quality of life of nursing staff with chronic nonspecific low back pain working in hospitals in yazd. materials and methods: this study was a descriptive-analytic study. a total of 119 nurses were selected with nonrandom purposive sampling method. health-related quality of life of the participants was assessed using the 36-item short-form health survey questionnaire (sf-36) and analyzed through spss software version 20  by appropriate statistical tests. findings and conclusions: this study showed that there were significant differences between the quality of life of nursing staff with chronic low back pain and iranian normal population in all aspects (p
